Sharon Heath
Artistic Producer, Full Figure Theatre

Sharon Heath has been working professionally in theatre since graduating from the National Theatre School in 1987. It was in theatre school that she first began writing comedy. Early writing credits include too blonde and her one-woman show based on Janis Joplin, Piece of My Heart.

In 1992 she founded Full Figure Theatre Company with Tammy Bentz and Jacqueline Dandeneau to write and produce more shows about women. Together they created and extensively toured the "f" word, way too blonde and Wumpa.

Sharon also writes and performs stand-up comedy, notably with Gut Wrench. In 1999 she began writing The Big Map: A History of Early British Columbia with Faith Moosang, Chris McGregor, Steven Hill and Lois Anderson. This show is slated for a high school tour in the Spring of 2007. In 2000 Sharon accepted a 6-month Interim Artistic Producer position for Sunshine Theatre in Kelowna.

Directing credits include Ethan Claymore and The Women  (Deux Mille Productions). 2001 saw Sharon as Head Writer and Director of A Steele of a Show for Rosebud Theatre, performed at Ft. Steele Heritage Park. Sharon is presently writing a new clown piece called 39...And Ticking! with Ted Hamilton and Joan MacLean.

She also works steadily in film and TV, plus she teaches drama to all ages. Sharon is the proud mother of Logan and step-mother to Teaka and Josh.
